"Are You With Me?" Scott Miller (Independent) This is another one of those “Best CDs You’ll Never Hear.” With this disc, former V-Roys front man Scott Miller offers some new tunes, guitar-and-vocal versions of a couple V-Roys standards and, of all things, a Statler Brothers cover. Miller’s love of his homeland, Virginia, is on full display in these emotional songs, perhaps the best of which is “The Rain,” a narrative told from the perspective of a Confederate soldier awaiting death during a hopelessly lost battle.
